About Rev. Frances Foger
 
     Rev. Frances Foger has served several churches in the Texas Annual Conference. She was a Perkins Intern and Student Local Pastor at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Houston, from 1996 to 1999. Rev. Foger preached monthly in that setting, provided pastoral visitation, baptisms, and trained laity in Eucharist Ministry, as well as, teaching Confirmation classes, and directing Lay mobilization.
 
     From 1999 to 2000, Frances was a full time student at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, Dallas Tx, thereby completing a Master of Divinity degree. Frances is trained to be an Elder mentor to United Methodist candidates for ministry.
 
     She served as Associate Pastor at First United Methodist Church of La Porte from 2000 to 2002. There she related to Program Ministries, provided Pastoral Care, assimilated youth and children, directed Evangelism and Worship, preached every 6 to 8 weeks, and directed Christian Education-training teachers, conducting weddings and funerals. She served on the Building Committee, taught Confirmation classes, preached at area nursing homes three time a month, and participated in the Capital Funds Building Campaign.
 
     Frances served the Methodist Health Care System in Houston as a Resident Chaplain for a year(1995-1996). In the hospital setting, she planned spiritual enrichment events and worked with interdisciplinary teams to provide pastoral care as part of a holistic approach to healing. She provided crisis ministry & specialized ministry in Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Cardiology, General Surgery and Emergency Care Services.
 
     She served at Matagorda United Methodist Church from 2002 to 2005 as Senior Pastor. There she was able to secure grant funds and build a building for the Methodist youth and an After-school latch key program for the community's children, as part of a interdemoinational effort. In Matagorda, Frances' church secured the Five Star Award of Excellnce in Christian Education.  Frances served Christ-Genoa United Methodist Churches from 2005-2008.  She led Genoa United Methodist Church as one of 225 churches in the Texas Conference in the Trnasformation process.
 
    She is a deeply committed servant leader, whose prayer is to be a a Bibically sound, Christ-centered, Spirit-filled Preacher & Teacher, a keen Administrating Pastor with a discerning heart.     
 
     Frances comes from Alexandria, LA. She has been married to Carl Foger for 26 years. Two years prior to this marriage, she was widowed from Wallace Driskell, Jr., to whom she was married for ten years. Frances had two sons, Daniel Alan, who died in a tragic accident in 1983, and Stephen, who died in 2007, following bypass surgery at the age of 45. Her greatest joy is that she is the proud Grandmother of Joseph Stephen Driskell and Victoria Frances Driskell . She has three brothers, who live in Louisianna, and Georgia, and one sister who lives in Mississippi.
